E-T Staff Report Stephenville police are investigating a burglary of a habitation that resulted in the theft of seven firearms authorities are trying to recover.

Police Chief Roy Halsell said three revolvers, two shotguns, a rifle and a pistol were stolen from a residence located in the 500 block of Broadway Street.

“It's always a particular concern to us any time there are guns missing and on the streets, Halsell said. “We have investigators working the case.

Halsell said the burglary occurred sometime between Saturday and Monday. The couple who lives in the residence was out of town. The suspect(s) apparently forced open the front door and exited through the back, Halsell said.

Three necklaces were also taken.
