Wanna sing?

If so, the Cross Timbers Civic Chorale is looking for you.

The group is searching for new singers to join them in an Oct. 18 performance with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

“It has been nine years since we have had the Fort Worth Symphony on the Tarleton State University campus for a joint choral/orchestra concert and we are very excited about this opportunity,” said Conductor/Musical Director, Dr. Charles Rives.

Rives said the group is looking for men and women who are willing to commit to Tuesday evening rehearsals beginning at 7 p.m., Sept. 4, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center, room 107.

“Persons who have high school singing experience or have been singing regularly in a church choir should feel very comfortable joining the Chorale,” Rives said. “There is no audition for the group, just basic music reading skills and a deep love of singing is all that is required.”

For more information, contact Dr. Rives at 254-968-9240 or simply attend the first rehearsal.
