The Middle Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (MTGCD) will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday due to the July 4th holiday. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. in Dublin City Council Chambers with a well operating permit hearing.
One item of interest will be the quarterly drought assessment. General Manager Joe Cooper will present information supplied by Palmerís Drought Severity Index (PDSI) about the condition of counties within MTGCD. Comanche, Erath and Bosque counties are classified in the North Central Texas Climatic Division by PDSI, which shows signs of moderate drought conditions.
The board will also decide on a contractor to build the new office in Stephenville.
But the new office isnít the only new addition up for discussion. After Bosque County voters decided to join MTGCD in May, board member need to discuss and approve any new staff additions for the new county.
The board will also review the 2009 budget as it looks forward to the new fiscal year and will draft a budget for 2010.
