Stephenville and Dublin ISD students and their families who might need help purchasing school supplies for the next school year have an opportunity to apply for assistance.
The First United Methodist Church, located at 422 West Washington Street in Stephenville, is offering school supply assistance to families who pick up and return an application.
The pre-registration packets can be picked up at the FUMC office any week day beginning June 15 through July 2, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Packets can also be picked up at Project HOPE from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday through Friday.
The application must be accompanied by proof of address (either a current utility bill or rent receipt), proof of income (paycheck stubs or form filled out by employer), and proof of the number of children in the household (birth certificates, school records or social security cards).
Registration will be at FUMC on July 6 and 8, from 10 a.m. to noon; July 7 and 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. Please plan to attend one of these sessions as no early or late registration packets will be accepted.
School kits will be distributed Aug. 15 at the FUMC Fellowship Hall in Stephenville, across from City Hall, between 9 a.m. and noon.
If you miss the registration deadline, come by the church between noon and 12:30 p.m. that day to collect any extra supplies.
The FUMC school supply assistance program is an annual event co-sponsored by The First United Methodist Women and the First Presbyterian Church of Stephenville.
