The Dublin ISD board of trustees will meet tonight in the Dublin High School Library at 7 p.m.
On the agenda is a host of policy changes that will affect the board during the next school year. Policies regarding district vehicles, electronic communications and data management, medical examinations and communicable diseases, student records and relations with governmental entities will be heard and debated, along with a local policy on compensation and benefits including leaves and absences.
After hearing the policies, the board will hear the final TAKS results for the 2008-09 school year. The preliminary results have been trickling in during the past few meetings, but the final totals will provide the district the much-anticipated rankings.
The board will also discuss special board meetings to be called in June, additional staffing needs for the new school year, including the hiring of new administration, the employee pay system for the new school year and the preliminary budget.
The board will also hear a request from board president Don Keith that renames the Dublin High School gym after Roy and Lynn Neff. This will be Neff's last board meeting as superintendent. Shaun Barnett will take over on July 1.
