Stephenville resident Frank Green, 86, escaped serious injury Friday when he was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Bosque River Center. Green was walking from his parked vehicle toward the entrance of Tractor Supply Company when a negligent motorist stuck him, according to authorities. Green said he realized early on that the driver was looking over her shoulder and he was going to be hit, so he stuck his hands in front of his body to brace himself. The vehicle rolled over Greenís foot. The blow knocked Green off his feet, and his glasses were broken when he hit the ground. Green was taken by his wife to a local clinic where his foot was x-rayed. Mrs. Green later stated that her husband sustained no serious injuries though his body was black and blue and he was very sore. Officer Brandon West said the negligent driver, a woman with the last name Murphy, who is also a local resident, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
