I would like to thank the entire Stephenville community for their support of my daughter Lindsey Lozano. Lindsey was born with cerebral palsy, is in a wheelchair and has endured more than 20 surgeries in her short life. She is non-verbal but incredibly social. In July she had brain surgery to try to improve her physical condition. Unfortunately, she had two strokes while in the hospital following surgery. On the way home from the hospital we were hit by a drunk driver in a hit and run accident so it was back to the hospital for more surgery and several weeks in the ICU. Lindsey continues to be very ill and is “homebound” from school with no end in sight. Therefore, she is missing out on her dreams of her senior year with all of her friends and all of the wonderful things she lives for and loves.

I just want to say how thankful I am to all of the students at SHS, the faculty and entire community for coming together to do the Reindeer Run and TEAM LINDSEY bracelets. All of these things including being voted Senior Class favorite have boosted Lindsey’s spirits. They have helped a very sick girl have so much joy during a dark time. Words cannot begin to express my gratitude. I am so grateful to be from a place that is so supportive after all Lindsey has endured this year. Parents, you should be especially proud of your kids. Again, thank you so much for everything.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Lozano
