Erath County commissioners spent Thursday in executive session interviewing the four companies selected as finalists in the search for a construction manager at risk for the expansion and renovation of the county jail.

While the commissioners did not make a final decision Thursday, the preliminary costs from each company were discussed in open session.

Dinosaur Valley Construction in Glen Rose submitted a preliminary cost of $1,074,916.

Satterfield and Pontikes Construction in Irving submitted a preliminary cost of $626,044.

Sedalco in Fort Worth submitted a preliminary cost of $673,000.

W.G. Yates and Sons Construction in San Antonio submitted a preliminary cost of $669,610.

J.E. Kingham Construction in Nachogdoches was also named a finalist in the search for a construction manager at risk, but did not submit a bid.

County Judge Tab Thompson said commissioners are expected to award the bid at their Aug. 23 meeting, which will be held in the Commissionersí Courtroom in the Erath County Courthouse at 9 a.m.
