The Dublin School Board will hold a special meeting tonight to tackle a few issues while the students are away on spring break.

With the impending retirement of Superintendent Roy Neff, the board will review dozens of applications for his position.

“We have gotten about 43 applications for the superintendent position,” Neff said. “The board will open and review them in executive session.”

In other items of business, the board will discuss and consider the following:

• Bids/proposals for the demolition of the old intermediate school building

• A request of Mike Jurney regarding using wind power for electricity and conducting a feasibility study for such use

• An auction for district surpluses and personal property to be held Saturday

The DISD board of trustees will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the library at Dublin High School.
