A hearing to determine the fate of Mandatory FM was postponed Monday and rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 24.
John and Pamela Hollinger own 50 percent of the radio station and Marion Cole owns the other 50 percent. In October, Cole filed a petition in the 266th Judicial District Court seeking to stop the Hollingers from managing the day-to-day business of the radio station.
Local attorney Kim Wilson was hired to represent Cole and said she hopes the postponement will give both parties more time to reach an agreement.
“We are trying to reach a mutually agreeable solution,” Wilson said. “We are trying to work it out so the radio station can keep going.”
The doors to the radio station were closed last week because the rent had not been payed.
