E-T Staff Report
Cross Timbers Business and Professional Women’s Club are inviting the women of the community to “Be Your Best Self” and support the local Mistletoe Hut, home to Stephenville’s Girl Scouts.
On Saturday, April 5th, the CTBPW is offering their third annual day of training, education, and fun.
This year’s “Be Your Best Self” Seminar will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the United Methodist Church at 422 West Washington Street. The cost is $25 per person and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and includes a light breakfast. All participants will enjoy the opening interactive session on face reading entitled “It’s Written All Over Your Face,” presented by Tina Boitnott. Participants may then choose three of six additional sessions to enjoy. Your options will be Women in the Driver’s Seat (vehicle maintenance) or What in the World is a Worldwide Blog?; Gardening is Easy or The State of Your Real Estate; and Do-It-Herself Home Maintenance by Home Depot or The Great Balancing Act (family, work and life in general).
Lunch is included and Bethany Kolter, curatorial assistant for the W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas at Thurber, will take us back in time as she portrays a young Polish woman who migrates to Thurber at the turn of the century. This program includes a costumed interpreter, interactive stories, and hands-on artifacts.
There will be goody bags and door prizes. For your shopping pleasure, several local vendors will have booths and CTBPW will have a book sale.
Local sponsorships are still available. A $100 sponsorship includes six passes for the day’s events and a $200 sponsorship includes 10 passes.
The Cross Timbers Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) is a non-profit, non-partisan group of involved individuals including business owners, educators, local business women, artisans, active home-makers, and retired professionals. The CTBPW meets the first Tuesday of the month at noon at Legends. For more information please contact Brandi Boles at 254-965-6525 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
