As the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Erath County (Erath County Senior Citizens, Inc.), it is my privilege to write to you on behalf of the many volunteers and supporters who have been so faithful in their service to our organization. We have over 200 volunteers throughout the county (Stephenville, Dublin, Bluff Dale, Morgan Mill, etc.) who make it their business to help us in our daily business of serving the elderly and disabled through the Home-Delivered Meal program. Since 1995, our little organization has been blessed continuously with hands to help and enough financial support to keep serving lunchtime meals to an average 120 clients throughout Erath County. Our volunteers come in all ages, from civic organizations, churches, businesses and as individuals who are concerned for the nutritional health and well-being of our clients.

We recently held a Volunteer Appreciation Celebration at Stephenville City Park in honor of our volunteers. Margie Hartsfield provided the music, David Kincannon cooked the food, the staff provided a little entertainment as a part of a training effort, and there were many door prizes donated from area merchants. It is a small way to express our gratitude for such generous donations of time, effort, and financial resources.

Special thanks to our Board of Directors who have persevered through numerous trials and tribulations and who continue to give of their time and talents to Meals on Wheels. We need and appreciate everyone who has supported us in anyway over the years. Thank you Erath County! We make a difference because YOU make a difference!
