In additional to items of regular business, the Dublin Independent School District (DISD) board of trustees will consider approval on several issues relevant to the 2008/2009 school year during tonightís meeting.
Consideration will be given for a resolution for an interlocal agreement to participate in the Education Service Center/Region 11 Employee Benefits Cooperative beginning Sept. 1.
In addition, the board will consider new textbook adoptions for the upcoming school year and consider changes to the 2008-2009 district calendar.
The board will also hear Superintendent Roy Neffís recommendations regarding the employment of a speech-language pathologist and the continued employment of the contracted employees including the districtís teachers, counselors, nurse, librarian, assistant principals, and special education support specialists.
Finally, the board will discuss the installation of a sprinkler system at Memorial Stadium and consider seeking bids or proposals for the construction of an agricultural show barn and additions to existing structures at the districtís farm.
The board of trustees meets at 7 p.m. in the Dublin High School library.
