DUBLIN - Dublin City Manager David Carrothers said Police Chief Lanny Lee will address the city council during tonight’s meeting set to begin at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Lee is expected to ask for replacements of the outdated video recording system for patrol cars. Carrothers said the current equipment is being leased and newer technology is available for less money so the question for council will be as to whether they want to continue leasing or to purchase the equipment.

Carrothers said he would give a report on the reverse 911 technology being considered as the emergency alert system for Dublin citizens. Carrothers said he is expecting a report on the system from Embarq early in the week.

In other business, the council will:

Discuss computer use policy, Appoint Ed Logan to the Upper Leon River Municipal Water District board of directors, Discuss adopting a city park use plan for playground improvements, and Consider a resolution authorizing intervention in the Public Utility Commission proceeding with TXU/Oncor.
