Take a break from hanging chads and complicated constitutional amendments on Tuesday and stop by St. Lukeís Episcopal Church for the annual Mexican Supper.
The annual meal began in 1955 to raise money to purchase a new altar set for the church. Today, proceeds from the event benefit various community organizations in Erath County.
The taco lunch buffet will offer tacos by the plate with all the extras. Individual tacos are a good option for lighter appetites. Or pick up a steamy bowl of St. Lukeís signature chili, a tasty bowl of beans or spice it up with an order of nachos. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Prices range from a $1 bowl of beans to $5 for a large taco plate.
Stuck at the office? Donít fret. Delivery service is available for orders of four or more by calling ahead at 968-6949.
The churchís traditional enchilada supper will be served from 5-8 p.m.
The hot, steamy enchiladas that have made the annual fundraising event a tasty success will be served with plates available for adults and children. An adult Mexican plate will fill you up for only $7. Children eat for just $3.
The church is located at the corner of Vanderbilt and McIlhaney streets in Stephenville.
