For those who have been prepping pigs, gearing up goats and beefing up bovines, time is ticking. To avoid a late fee and a last minute hustle to sign up, entry cards into the 2010 Erath County Junior Livestock Show are due today.

For Future Farmers of America members, entry cards should be turned in to the studentís agriculture teacher. 4-Hers must turn in entries to agent Megan Logan at the Texas AgriLife Extension Service Office, located at 112 W. College Street Room 109 in Stephenville. All entries must be submitted to the teacher or agent signing the card.

Entries must be submitted on an official form. One form must be completed for every animal being shown and must be signed by the exhibitor and a parent or guardian.

Before todayís 5 p.m. deadline, the entry fee is $15 per animal.

Late entries will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 18, but a late penalty of $25 per animal will apply.

For more information, contact Logan at (254) 965-1460.

The 2010 show kicks off Saturday, Jan. 9, and ends with the sheep, steer, swine and goat auction the following Tuesday.
