Although Stephenville ISD had the headline-making $34 million bond package on the Nov. 2 ballot, schools in the surrounding areas had issues to vote on as well - namely, who would represent them on their school boards.

In Morgan Mill ISD, voters chose to elect Kenneth Stokes to the board of trustees by giving him almost 62 percent of the vote. He was challenged by Vannie Halliday.

In Huckabay, voters elected Chad Hale, Bill Dowell, Shane Stegall and Greg Stewart to serve full, four-year terms on the board, defeating CD Barker and Cody Pike.

In Lingleville, Monty Williams, Richard Boeve and Jay Procter were elected to the board, edging out Jamie Adams and Paul Moore.
