Not sure what to get the good girls and boys on your Christmas list this holiday season? Why not head to Dublin on Saturday, Dec. 5, for “Night on the Town?”

Despite the name, the monthly shopping and entertainment extravaganza will be held 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. with Dublin merchants offering special deals for holiday shoppers.

As a special treat for Santa’s helpers, December’s event will host an arts and crafts fair. The fair will be held in the old Dollar General Building on Patrick Street across from David’s Supermarket.  The show will host up to 100 vendors. For artisans and crafters, it’s not too late to sign up to peddle your wares - Dublin chamber members can set up shop free of charge and all others can sign up for $20.

For those merry men hunting for a one of a kind gift for the special ladies on their lists, Golden Butterfly Jewelers, The Checkerboard, Three Sisters, Dwelling Place, CWJC Antiques, Furniture Depot and LJJ Antiques will have an array of goodies to offer. For that special cowpoke on your list, consider selections from Owens Metal Art and Clay’s Processing & Smoke House.

Area museums and eateries, including the Rodeo Heritage Museum, Dublin Historical Museum, Dublin Dr Pepper Museum, Sonic Drive In, La Esmerelda, Ha’ Penny Di’nea’r, Granny Clark’s, Patrick Street Pharmacy & Fountain and Old Doc’s Soda Shop will also open their doors to shoppers.

For individuals searching to pamper themselves before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, local beauty salons will be ready to primp.

In addition to the monthly shopping event, Dublin merchants have teamed up with My DFW Mommy, www.mydfwmommy.com, to offer cybershoppers specials, coupons and goods. The Web site features an array of retailers and will feature “Holiday Magic DFW - Dublin,” through Christmas Eve.
