GRANBURY - Stephenville (5-2, 4-0) visits Granbury (0-7, 0-4) in District 8-4A play at Pirate Stadium tonight. A win for the Yellow Jackets would clinch a trip to the state football playoffs for the sixth straight year and 20th time in the last 21 seasons.

Granbury is looking to end its 23-game winning streak. The Pirates have not won since week four of the 2007 season. They have already secured the worst three-year span in school history.

German Chavarria hit a 26-yard field goal for Stephenville with only three seconds left in the first half. Granbury had a chance to return the ensuing kickoff for a half-ending touchdown, but return man Matt Slemmons, the first cousin of Stephenville linebacker Jared Slemmons, slipped and fell 30 yards into the return with nothing but green grass ahead.
