Come thirsty. And come looking for fun.

Because it’s plenty of ice-cold Dr pepper and lots of good times you’ll find at the 116th birthday celebration of the oldest Dr Pepper bottling plant in the world. The annual event will get started at 8 a.m. Saturday when the streets of Dr Pepper, Texas, AKA Dublin, will be transformed into the area’s biggest birthday bash of the year.

“The Dr Pepper museum is open seven days a week, but there is something

special about being here on the birthday,” Jeff Pendleton, Dr Pepper’s creative director, said. “There’s an electricity, a connection with 116 years of history that is like no other day. If Dr Pepper has a place in your life, in your history and memory… this is the place to be on our special day.”
