Tarleton State University will usher in the holidays with the 31st annual performance of George Frideric Handel's "Messiah." The concert, one of the most popular events of the year, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium.??Dr. Charles Rives, Tarleton's Director of Choirs, will mark his 28th year of conducting the performance.??The Fort Worth Symphony will return this year to accompany the Cross Timbers Civic Chorale, Tarleton University Singers, Chamber Choir and Select Women's Ensemble for the production. The combined choirs will also perform "A Feast of Carols" by Dallas composer Randol Alan Bass. ??Dr. Iwao Asakura and Heather Hawk, members of Tarleton's voice faculty, will be featured as soloists this year along with student vocal soloists.?Admission is $12, and all seats are reserved.
