?Erath County Big Brothers Big Sisters is proud to announce yet "another great local celebrity partnership" to help raise money for the local BBBS organization.
Singer-songwriter Larry Joe Taylor has donated a limited edition autographed Larry Joe Taylor Texas Music Festival commemorative guitar to benefit the non-profit organization.
Raffle tickets are on sale now for $5 each for a chance to win the limited edition - only 10 were made - autographed guitar.
The guitar will be signed not only by Taylor, but also other music artists appearing at this year's Larry Joe Taylor's Texas Music Festival. All proceeds go to Erath County Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The guitar will be on display at Texas Bank from now until the week of the festival, April 26-30. It will then be on display at the festival in the merchandise booth. The winning ticket will be drawn on April 30, and the winner does not have to be present at the festival.
Tickets may be purchased from all Big Brothers Big Sisters board members and at Texas Bank, First Financial Bank, Wireless Outfitters and the BBBS office, located at 150 South Harbin Drive, Suite 2 (next door to Parks & Associates). For more information, call 254-918-7295.?The BBBS board is also asking for bids on other items at the Texas Bank Annual Silent Auction, also benefiting BBBS. The silent auction will be held March 21 - 25 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. All winners will be notified by phone after the bids close.
Auction items up for bid include an iPod Touch, a Nolan Ryan-Hank Aaron-Brooks Robinson autographed baseball with certificate of authenticity, a gift basket, an hour massage and foot creams, a one-hour professional photo shoot, a glass vase, jewelry, a flag, gift certificates from various restaurants, movie passes, three months Deluxe Service cable and six months Turbo High Speed Internet, cash certificates, landscape and lawn maintenance certificates and much more.?Also upcoming is the Bowl for Kids Sake event on May 7 at Lone Star Lanes in Stephenville. The bowling event is BBBS's largest fund raiser of the year.
