Most businesses across the county, including the Stephenville Empire-Tribune, will be closed Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving Day.

Erath County offices, including those located inside of the courthouse and county annexes, will be closed Thursday and Friday. Normal business hours will resume on Monday.

All city of Stephenville offices, including City Hall and the Senior Citizens Center, Recreational Hall and Municipal Service Center will also be closed Thursday and Friday. The Stephenville Public Library will be closed Thursday - Monday.

In addition, there will be no residential curbside trash collection for Stephenville residents on Thanksgiving Day. Normal Thursday trash collection will take place on Friday, and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday.

Stephenville residents needing emergency water utility services are advised to call 918-1273 to report issues and public safety emergencies should always be reported to 9-1-1.

Dublin City Hall will close at noon on Wednesday and will remain closed on Thursday and Friday. Dublin Public Library will also close at noon on Wednesday and reopen next Tuesday.

Those who forgot the final touches for the holiday feast should not fear.

Wal-Mart shoppers will have the opportunity on Thanksgiving Day to pick up last-minute menu items or get a jump start on Christmas shopping as the store will be open all day Thursday. Wal-Mart Pharmacy will be closed Thanksgiving Day.

H-E-B will also give last-minute meal makers a chance to shop on Thanksgiving Day. The grocery store, located at 2150 West Washington Street in Stephenville, will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. Normal business hours, 6 a.m. - midnight, will be observed Wednesday and Friday. The H-E-B Pharmacy will not open Thursday.

Local banks, including Town and Country Bank, TexasBank and First Financial Bank will be closed Thursday. Regular business hours will be observed at each bank Wednesday and Friday.

The United States Postal Service will also be closed for Thanksgiving.
