Granbury Theatre Company announced its 2019 Broadway on the Brazos season at the historic Granbury Opera House in Downtown Granbury.

Season tickets include six musicals and two stage plays:

§  Driving Miss Daisy (Jan. 11-Feb. 10)

§  Mamma Mia (Feb. 22-March 24)

§  Forever Plaid (March 29-April 14)

§  Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (April 26-May 27)

§  Grease (June 7-July 7)

§  The Wizard of Oz (July 26-August 25)

§  Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park (Sept. 6-29)

§  The Addams Family (Oct. 11-Nov. 10)

Next year’s Christmas production is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, a play based on the novel by C.S. Lewis, will be on the Opera House stageNovember 22-December 22.  This show is not included in the season ticket but is available at a discount as an add-on purchase.

Grease was the top show on the season ticket holder’s survey, according to GTC president Micky Shearon.  “There are classics like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Wizard of Oz, and Driving Miss Daisy but also fun new shows like Mamma Mia and The Addams Family,” Shearon commented.  “There is something for everyone.”

Season tickets for the 2019 productions are available now on the company website at www.granburytheatrecompany.org. 

Through Aug. 31, theatre patrons can take advantage of an early bird special. A package for admission to all eight shows is $245 – a savings of $35 or the equivalent of one show.  With the Christmas show add-on, the Early Bird package is $275, a $40 discount off the regular season ticket price.

Tickets are still available for the remainder of the 2018 season, which includesFootloose (through July 15), Into the Woods (Aug. 17-Sept. 9), You Can’t Take It With You (Sep. 21-Oct. 7), Young Frankenstein (Oct. 19-Nov. 11), and A Christmas Carol (Nov. 23-Dec. 23).  

Granbury Theatre Academy will present The Lion King Jr. on July 27-Aug. 5.
