The Stephenville City Council voted Tuesday to rezone property on Graham Street, paving the way for alcohol sales at one of the city’s newest restaurants - Burger Joint at Graham Central Station.

Stephenville attorney and former city councilman Boyd Waggoner said his new restaurant should open within the next 10 days.

“It’s going to be a fun place,” Waggoner told the council.

Waggoner is working on the finishing touches of the restaurant, which will specialize in hamburgers and include a bar where patrons can load up their burgers any way they choose. They will also serve salads, chicken, hot dogs, milk shakes, beer and wine.

“I bought the old filling station about two years ago with the intent of opening this restaurant,” he told the E-T in a previous interview.

The Burger Joint at Graham Central Station is located, of course, on Graham Street.
