Saturday’s high temperature is expected to reach 94 degrees, making it the perfect time to head to Splashville for a day of fun.
Stephenville’s water park will open this weekend - from 12-7 p.m. on Saturday and 1-6 p.m. on Sunday - then close for the following work week.
Splashville will open for the season daily beginning Saturday, May 26.
“We are looking forward to opening day,” said recreation coordinator Ashley Snyder.
Snyder said there will be a variety of classes offered this summer including water aerobics, a mommy and me class, swim lessons, lap swimming and fitness walking.
“We will also have concessions and sell nachos, hot dogs, Frito pies, french fries, pizza, candy, pickles and a variety of drinks,” Snyder said.
A few of Splashville’s most popular features include a splash and zero entry area with water bugs, cannons, tipping buckets, mushroom waterfalls and a three-foot slide; a four-foot deep pool featuring a 16-foot slide, 8-foot slide and lily pad walkway; and a 275-foot lazy river.
Daily admission is $6 and individual season passes are $115. Family season passes are also available for $225 (four people) and $10 for each additional person (up to six).
