Two guest composers highlight Tarleton State University’s Percussion Concert set for 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville.

Zack Browning, associate professor emeritus of music at the University of Illinois, and David Pegel from the University of Miami will join the Tarleton Percussion Ensemble, directed by Dr. Ben Charles.

Tarleton flute instructor Jennifer Rodriguez makes a guest appearance on Pegel’s “Orion,” and Tarleton Associate Professor Iwao Asakura performs on Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.”

Four Browning compositions are also on the bill. His “Breakpoint Screamer” features the Tarleton Trumpet Ensemble, and South Florida-based flutist Maryem Bendaoud takes center stage on “Profit Beater.”

Tickets are $5 or free with a Tarleton ID. The box office opens one hour before the concert. All seating is general admission.
