It’s an event that dates back to 1996 and is coming back in full force next weekend: The annual Stephenville Antique Tractor Show, sponsored by SPARD, kicking off at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14, in City Park.

“Anybody can come out and bring their tractor. You don’t have to be a member,” said Antique Tractor Club member and event coordinator Jerry Gray. “We are giving out trophies for Best of Show, Best Display, Best Featured and the Best Unrestored. We also invite people to bring their old cars out too.”

The event is free and vendors are welcome to set up a booth.

“We’re going to try and have some kind of tractor games if we can get some put together,” said club member and event coordinator Robert Sohm.

At 1 p.m. the Parade of Tractors will begin.

“We let the kids come out and they can climb up on the tractors,” Gray said. “We are also having a raffle. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and the prize is a Ruger AR-15. You don’t have to be present to win, but you have to be able to purchase a rifle.”
