Just in time for barbecue season, Mark and Sherri Littlejohn have expanded their business - Littlejohn Produce - to include a meat market.
“We sold out of all our steaks Easter weekend, it was great,” Mark said. “Our bone-in, cowboy cut ribeyes are very popular.”
The meat market also sells beef tenderloin - sold whole or cut into steaks - and angus chuck patties, which Mark said makes the perfect hamburgers.
“We are also grinding our own breakfast sausage,” he said. “I’m only using the shoulder of the pig so it’s very lean.”
And if seafood is more your style, Littlejohn carries that too.
“We take orders for shrimp, oysters, salmon and crab legs and I bring it in fresh on Fridays,” Mark said.
Littlejohn Produce also sells a wide variety of plants, flowers, vegetables, seeds and homemade canned goods.
“Now is the time to plant your tomatoes and peppers,” Mark said.
Littlejohn Produce is located at 513 W. Lingleville Road.
They are open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.
