The weekend is approaching with some great happenings in Stephenville and the surrounding area. Make it a good one!

1. Cars & Coffee at the Courthouse

If you’re a fan of old school vehicles, head to the Erath County Courthouse between 7-10 a.m. Saturday for Cars & Coffee at the Courthouse. 2. Stephenville Farmer’s Market

Show your support for locals by purchasing homemade or homegrown goods at the Stephenville Farmer’s Market from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday in the downtown plaza. Vendors will be selling vegetables, fruits, plants, jelly and more. In case of rain, the market will be moved to the large pavilion in City Park. 3. Spring Bluegrass Jamboree Festival

Take a short trip over to Glen Rose and enjoy an entertaining day outdoors at the Spring Bluegrass Jamboree Festival kicking off at 10 a.m. Saturday in Oakdale Park. The lineup will include Catahoula Drive, The Kevin Prater Band, Mark Phillips & IIIrd Generation, The Kody Norris Show, The Robert Mabe Band, Salt Creek Bluegrass Band, Downtown String Band and The Paluxy Pickers. Admission is $25.

4. Bird Walk

Grab the binoculars and head to Dinosaur Valley State Park for its Bird Walk taking place from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Those attending will meet a park ranger at the Park Store and walk and listen to birds in the area. This event is free with park entrance fee of $7 for adults and free for children 12 and under. 5. Cowboy Capital Race for the Crown

Catch some high-speed barrel racing and help raise money at the second annual Cowboy Capital Race for the Crown taking place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lone Star Arena. Proceeds will benefit the Miss Cowboy Capital Pro Rodeo Pageant. For more information call 920-988-2409 or 254-595-0036.
