Major George B. Erath 2679 chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy would like to encourage all Erath County veterans of the United States armed forces who have served since the Vietnam conflict to gather at 10 a.m. April 14 on the west side of the courthouse.

A photographer will be present to take a picture of the group and volunteers will list the names, branch of service and rank of each individual.

This will include all honorably discharged veterans who have served in the armed forces since 1982 including the local National Guard.

The chapter believes these men and women should be recognized and honored because of their service and willingness to do whatever it takes to defend our nation and keep us free.

The chapter will print photos to hang in the American Legion Hall, Disabled Veterans Office, Veterans’ Office in the Erath County Court House and the Stephenville Historical Museum. Photos may be available to purchase later at a nominal fee.
