The Girl Scouts of Central Texas are once again honor outstanding women of the community with the Women of Distinction Award, and nominations are being accepted through March 31.
“We are very excited for the opportunity to showcase what incredible women are doing to make our communities better,” said resource development executive Donna Brosh. “There continues to be no shortage of women who are worthy of this honor in Stephenville.”
Past nominees include Sena Leese of the First United Methodist Church; Lisa Pack of Texas Twisters; Joanna Shaw of the Tarleton State University College of Business; Alisa Terrel Starbird of the Stephenville Optimist Club; and Julie Crouch Smith of the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council.
The event celebrates women of all walks of life who have distinguished themselves as outstanding community members though individual excellence and achievement.
The 2018 nominees will receive a Women of Distinction Award and attend a ceremony dinner.
“Past honorees have excelled in the areas of business, education, government, communications, health care, sports, volunteer services, multicultural activities and Girl Scouting,” states a release from the Girls Scouts of Central Texas.
