Stephenville High School DECA members competed in the 72nd Texas DECA State Career Development Conference in Dallas and one student will be advancing, another will be an alternate, to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in April.
Carys Hooper will be advancing to the ICDC in the Hotel and Lodging Management individual series in Atlanta, Georgia April 21-24, and Victoria Permann will be an alternate to the ICDC in the Apparel and Accessories Marketing individual series event. She will compete if the finalist is unable to attend.
Other DECA members who competed were Victor Lumbreras, Caroly Leija, Miguel Carrillo, Cameron Bishop, Mitch Deckard, Maria Nelson, Paola Garcia, Korina Mascorro, Hagen Carter, Nirjal Upadhayay, Subarna Pokhrel, Rico Wood, Maricxa Gutierrez and Savannah Ivey.
SHS earned an opportunity by recognition from the National Membership Campaign to have several of these DECA members apply for the Emerging Leader Series Academy. The selection process will be completed soon.
