The Stephenville High School Stingerettes had a successful competition, bringing home 30 awards — including first place state grand champions in large varsity class 1 team — from Danceline Production USA’s Classic State Championship held in Weatherford.

“Last year was the first time for the Stings to achieve State Grand Champion as one large varsity level team,” said Stingerette Director Kimberly Kelsey. “The girls had a lot of pressure to defend that title on top of many unique challenges to work through this season. You wouldn’t have known it based on their performance Saturday and additionally were the only team to be recognized with the Congeniality Award by the contest staff.”
