Bruce may be a large two-year-old pup, but he’s a sweet, playful one who is looking for his forever home.

Bruce has been at the Erath County Humane Society since June 2017.

“I wouldn’t recommend him for small children, not because he’s mean, but because he’s big,” said ECHS Executive Director Diane McCoy. “He’s very shy and timid about new things so you have to introduce him to things slowly.”

Bruce is kennel trained — never whines or barks — and is doing well on a leash, but would need a good fenced yard when he’s let outdoors.

“He’s got a lot of potential and I would keep him in a house without hesitation. He would be a good house dog despite his size,” McCoy said. “He loves toys and would be good with other dogs that can handle playing with a big dog.”

McCoy said the shelter is critically full at this time.
