Searching for ways to raise funds for new equipment and training, the Erath County First Responders will hold a fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Morgan Mill Community Center, 406 County Rd. 156.
“It will be a chili supper and live dessert auction,” said Chief Westyn Grimes. “We put this together and all the proceeds will benefit us for purchasing medical equipment and for training.”
The dinner will be $5 at the door and the first responders will be cooking the chili themselves.
“If people want to donate (desserts) they are welcome to,” said Assistant Chief Mike Ringo.
The Erath County First Responders, formerly the Morgan Mill First Responders, is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers who assist with basic life support, injured persons, and any incident requiring EMS.
