The weekend is coming with some fun family activities in Stephenville and the surrounding area. Make it a good one!

1. Treat Your Selfie

Enjoy a day of shopping and photos at the Treat Your Selfie event taking place from noon-5 p.m. Friday-Sunday at The Clawfoot Tub in Bluff Dale. The event will feature built-in selfie stations throughout the store during its end of year inventory sale.

2. Moonshiner’s Adventure

Interested in the history of moonshine in Texas? Then make a trip to Dinosaur Valley State Park for its Moonshiner’s Adventure kicking off at 10 a.m. Saturday at the park trailhead/hike-in campsite parking lot. Those attending will explore the history and learn how people made, hid, sold and survived on moonshine during the prohibition era. 3. Movie night at the library

Round up the kids and head to the Stephenville Public Library at 1 p.m. Saturday when Girl Scout Troop No. 10300 hosts “Despicable Me 3” movie night. Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and most of it will be on the ground so bring a pillow and blanket. Snacks will be provided, but those attending can bring their own. 4. Bluegrass concert

If you’re a fan of bluegrass music, then don’t miss the Paluxy River Bluegrass Association’s 3rd Weekend Bluegrass concert event starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at Oakdale Park’s convention center in Glen Rose. The concert will feature Brazos Point Bluegrass, Brenda and Friends and the Paluxy Pickers. 5. Painting with a Ranger

Put your artist skills to the test at Dinosaur Valley’s Painting with a Ranger event taking place from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, at the park pavilion. Those attending will capture the beauty of the park with watercolors and all materials will be provided. Space is limited and materials will be handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
