Check out the photography works of Stephenville High School graduate Sara Gillispie when the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council features her as its latest exhibit Jan. 9 - Feb. 28 at the River North Gallery.
Gillispie is currently a student at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and is pursuing a degree in apparel merchandising with a minor in marketing.
“While in high school, Sara was a regular volunteer at the CTFAC for receptions and art camps,” said CTFAC Executive Director Julie Crouch Smith. “She’s such a talented young lady and was always a joy to be around. I am thrilled to feature her work and excited to see what she does next.”
Gillispie’s goal after graduating college is to move to New York and study fashion design.
“She has always been interested in fashion design as it is something that she really loves to do,” states Gillispie’s bio. “Some of her hobbies include sketching, painting, reading and photography. She also loves to travel whenever she has the chance and is planning to study abroad this summer in Florence, Italy.”
An artist reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at the gallery.
