Laura Osinga has been teaching for 10 years and has started a new position as Central Elementary’s PPCD teacher. Laura answered some questions about herself in this new series by the E-T.

Where did you grow up and attend school?

McKinney, Texas. I attended Tarleton State University.

What are you most excited about starting a new position at Stephenville ISD?

To work closer to home.

What is your mission as an educator?

To educate the whole child — addressing their physical, mental, emotional, social and academic side.

What are some of your hobbies?

Reading, spending time with my family, organizing and shopping.

What is one of your favorite inspirational quotes?

What do you love about teaching?

The kids! Working hard with students and seeing the light bulb come on...there's nothing better.

What is one of your most memorable moments in life?

The birth of my children.

Anywhere, as long as my family is with me.
