Investigators are still trying to piece together a puzzle that ended in the deaths of two Stephenville residents.
The bodies of Robert Cavin Sparks, 51, and Kimberley Ann Cox, 52, were discovered about 8 p.m. Sunday night in a mobile home located on F.M. 2303.
“At this time we are still trying to figure out exactly what happened,” Erath County Sheriff Matt Coates said.
A source close to the investigation said suicide is suspected in the deaths, but Coates would not rule out any possibility including homicide.
“We really need to wait and see what comes back on the autopsies,” he said.
Coates said the man and woman were facing some personal issues, including possible eviction.
“(Constable Jason) Schipper recently delivered an eviction notice to the home,” he said.
Law enforcement officials were dispatched to the scene following a call of a welfare concern.
Deputies checked the perimeter of the residence, then made entry through the back door, where the bodies were discovered.
