1. Retirement Reception for Cindy Stafford

Head to City Hall at City Limits to honor longtime Stephenville City Secretary Cindy Stafford at a retirement reception from 4-6 p.m. Friday. Stafford has served in her position for 23 years and the reception is open to the public.

2. High school softball tournament

If you’re a softball fan then make a trip to the McCleskey softball fields Friday-Sunday for the high school eligible state softball tournament. The fields are located in Stephenville City Park and the tournament will feature 20 teams competing from across the state. For more information call SPARD at 254-918-1295.

3. Dollars & Cents Beef Cattle Market Update

Attend the free Dollars & Cents Beef Cattle Market Update from 12-1 p.m. Friday at Agave. A roundtable discussion with Jason Johnson, an AgriLife extension economist, will take place and no RSVP is required. For more information call the Erath Extension Office at 254-965-1460.

4. Robert Burns Memorial golf scramble

The Stephenville Athletic Booster Club will host the Robert Burns Memorial four-person golf scramble starting with check-in at 8 a.m. Saturday at Legends Country Club. Hole sponsorships, $100, and player registration, $50, can be done before or the day of the event — limited to 144 players. 5. Live music at Hard Eight BBQ
