1. X-Treme Team Roping Summer Blast

2. PAWS for Dogs

Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS) will hold a hotdog fundraiser from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Dowell Ace Hardware and Home Place at Ace. The funds will go to animal rescue in Erath County.

3. Independence Day events

There is plenty to do for the July 4th holiday, which lands on Tuesday this year. Events will include 281 Speedway on Saturday and Sunday; the parade starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday around downtown Stephenville; the BBQ, Bands and Bottle Rockets event from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday at City Park; Splashville’s Fourth of July Celebration from 12-6 p.m. Tuesday; The Texstar Ford Summer Night Concert Series kicking off at 6 p.m. in City Park; and a fireworks show.
