The Stephenville Senior Citizens Center hosted its annual Father’s Day lunch Wednesday.
Guests were treated to entertainment by the Rush Creek Band from DeLeon.
The group, which consists of Lanny Butler (bass guitar/ vocals), Carl Dean Strube (mandolin), Wayne Sorrells (guitar/ vocals), John- Paul Loyless (banjo/ vocals) and Philip Lewis (fiddle), played a variety of country, bluegrass and gospel favorites.
Band leader John-Paul Loyless kept everyone laughing in between songs with jokes that were reminiscent of "Hee Haw" and the group really pumped up the mood by having the audience sing along on the Oak Ridge Boys hit "Elvira.”
A lunch of cheeseburgers, French fries, chips and various desserts followed.
