“Free breakfast tacos and beer will be provided at the finish line for registered runners,” said Brandynn Stanford of Kids Across Cultures. “Bring your friends and enjoy the day while raising money for clean water projects around the world. The first 80 registrant will receive a free T-shirt and swag bag and the runner who brings the highest pledge amount will win a night’s stay at the renovated, historic Midland Hotel in Hico, along with two vouchers for dinner at The Chop House restaurant inside the hotel.”
The event will also feature a raffle drawing for two tickets to a pre-season Cowboys game in Arlington (parking included) and a gumball machine.
Entry fee for the race is $35, plus a pledge of $75 from family and friends. Registration can be done by visiting www.runsignup.com/flacascleanwater or in person at Flacas Fitness & Brews.
“All proceeds benefit the clean water projects for Kids Across Cultures whose goal is to provide 10,000 filters for 10,000 families,” Standford said.
Kids Across Cultures has a location in Dublin and is a non-profit organization with a board of directors dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
The Flacas Fitness & Brews event will be followed by the Hico Spring Swing Street Dance event taking place all day at the Hico Senior Center featuring craft beer tasting, live music, art, food, street dancing and more.
