Katie, who’s living at the Erath County Humane Society, is a female, short-haired domestic kitty who comes with all the bells and whistles — and she’s our Pet of the Week.

She’s spayed, declawed and a real sweetie.

“She has all her shots and was just given a very clean bill of health by the vet. All she needs is someone to adopt her. Since she’s declawed, she’ll need to be an inside cat, of course,“ says ECHS Executive Director Diane McCoy.

“Katie is four years old, very gentle and affectionate, but she doesn’t like being around dogs, so that’s a consideration,” McCoy says. “She hasn’t been around kids so we don’t know how she would do in a family with children.”

To meet Katie or any of the other cats or dogs at the ECHS, you can stop by at 891 East Road between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
