Both the Honeybees and Yellow Jacket golf teams had solid outings Tuesday when they concluded the district 8-4A golf meet both finishing in second place. 

The Honeybees placed second after shooting a combined 760 over the two rounds of play. 

Leading the team was Morgan Kinsey who shot a 182 over the tournament, including rounds of 94 and 88. 

Other team members included Taylor Harpole (194), Madison Grimes (197), Allee Mainord (187) and Maycee Decker (201). 

On the boy's side, the Yellow Jackets shot a score of 640 over the two rounds with Bunker Funderburgh leading the team with impressive rounds of 76 and 75 for a score of 151 in the tournament. 

Kendall Roberts shot a 156, Tyler Lane a 159, Jake Henricksen a 174 and Rosser Orr rounded out the team with a 187. 

Both teams qualify for the regional meet which will be held in Lubbock at the Shadow Hills Golf Course. The girls tournament is scheduled for April 24-25, while the boys will play on the 26-27.
