The Stephenville ISD board of trustees will meet Monday afternoon to recognize several students, consider the cancellation of the board election and also talk the next step in the district’s iChampion initiative.
The board will recognize Gilbert Intermediate students for the National History Bee competition, Stephenville High School’s UIL filmmaker students, SHS art nationals students, SHS DECA state and ICDC qualifiers and the SHS Stingerettes for their accomplishments at the Danceline Classic State Championship.
The board will also accept certification of the unopposed candidates up for re-election, Cole Parks, place 6, and Dr. Ed Dittfurth for place 7. The board will then vote to approve the cancellation of the May 6 election.
In his report, SISD Superintendent Matt Underwood will discuss the next step in the district’s iChampion initiative — the device rollout for the high school.
Devices have already been distributed to Hook Elementary, Gilbert Intermediate and Henderson Junior High creating a one-to-one digital environment for students.
