This is simply the best key lime pie recipe I've ever had. It's a perfect pie for spring and summer. Enjoy!

Key lime pie

1 graham cracker crust 

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup freshly squeezed key lime juice

2 tsp grated lime zest

1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk 

3 large egg yolks

Meringue

4 egg whites 

6 tbsp. sugar

1/2 tsp. corn starch

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

In a medium bowl, whisk egg yolks and condensed milk. Stir in lime zest, lime juice, and cream. Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 30 minutes or until firm.

In a medium size bowl beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Add the cornstarch and sugar and beat on high until stiff peaks form. Spoon meringue over the hot pie filling. Bake 10-12 more minutes.
