Special to the E-T

The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce is excited about the warmer weather and the new date for their 2011 Cross Timbers Home & Garden Show. While the show has typically been the last weekend in March, this year it will be held April 9-10 at Lone Star Arena.

“We hope the date will allow more exhibitors to participate,” said July Danley, Chamber president.

The show will include exhibits along with educational seminars, demonstrations, children’s activities, prize drawings and more. Several fun and informative sessions are already lined up including an ‘Ask Oncor’ area featuring interactive exhibits on electric safety and energy efficiency as well as the award-winning Chef Gerard Thompson from Rough Creek Lodge with his crowd-pleasing cooking demonstrations. The Home Place at Ace will also be bringing a new face to the event this year, introducing Chef Darlene Walton with Rockin’ Texas Ranch Cuisine. The entire family can enjoy the various exhibits and interactive demonstrations along with activities for kids including a coloring contest and play area. Another addition will be a plant sale benefiting Keep Stephenville Beautiful.

The Chamber’s goal is to provide businesses the opportunity to display and promote their products and services to hundreds of potential customers through this two day expo.

“Our vendor booth spaces are filling up quickly, which is exciting!” says Courtney Vanden Berge, Marketing & Events Director. “We want our local businesses to have the exposure they deserve, so we urge them to reserve their space today! It is such a great networking opportunity!”

If your business provides products or services related to remodeling, kitchens, baths, appliances, building supplies, pools and spas, lawn and garden care, decorating, energy conservation, real estate or financing, then you won’t want to miss participating in this show!

Danley adds, “We look forward to partnering with community businesses to promote their products and services to home owners across the Cross Timbers region who are starting to think about spring projects for updating and beautifying their homes and gardens!” The Chamber also extends a special thanks to Title Sponsors and long-time show supporters Lovell Lawn & Landscape, HEB and Grand Rental Station.
