A historical marker was dedicated at the Indian Creek Cemetery near Selden Sunday. The cemetery is on the site of an early settlement in southern Erath County that at one time served a church and the Indian Creek School. The earliest interment dates to 1871, but there may have been earlier burials that are not clearly marker. The cemetery is still being used and is maintained by the Indian Creek Cemetery Corporation.
